Day 1

Arrival, optional transfer from airport to hotel*

Welcome meeting with a glass of sparkling wine to familiarize with upcoming travel itinerary presented by the tour guide.

Day 2 (Riga)

The capital of Latvia is >Riga a charming city, build by bishop Alber in 1201 and the morning reserved for an optional walking tour of Riga old town and Art nouveau streets. Riga’s architecture in early 1900’s was hardly influenced by Art nouveau style and till nowadays one of the dominant styles in Riga.

In the afternoon we set up for 10 km biking tour to discover a new facade of the city. Riga is the biggest city in the Baltic states with impressive city outskirts – old german landlord houses, markets, and Soviet monuments. The evening at leisure check-in Hotel Rixwell Konventa Seta***

Day 3 (Cēsis)

Early in the morning heading to Sigulda and enter the Gauja national park. We get on our bikes to cycle ~20km to Līgatne. The afternoon is leisurely spent visiting Secret Soviet bunker in Līgatne and after a guided tour of the bunker, we have lunch. And continue cycling ~30km to Cēsis, check-in Hotel Cēsis***

Day 4 (Valmiera)

Enjoying our morning we stroll Cēsis Hanseatic old town with castle ruins. The afternoon we get on our bikes to cycle ~35km along the river Gauja which is characterized by great biological diversity, sandstone outcrops, and historical monuments. Late afternoon we enter the city Valmiera, check in hotel Wolmar****

Day 5 (Rujiena)

Leaving early Valmiera cycling ~25 km to Burtnieku Lake. It is the 4th biggest lake in Latvia and to visit the bird observation tower. Afternoon heading to Rujiena ~ 30 km on our bike. In Rujiena we visit the local ice cream making factory and check in cozy guest house Koņu dzirnavas.

Day 6 (Staicele)

We start our day with cycling from Rūjiena via Masalaca to Staicele, approx. 50 km. In Mazsalaca we enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Salaca River and sand caves. In afternoon we reach Staicele, where we visit Livonian museum to explore the Livonian heritage and handcrafts in Latvia. Check-in cozy guest house Mačkalni

Day 7 (Salacgriva)

In the morning we are cycling from Staicele via Ainaži to Salacgrīva, ~ 40km along the Salaca River to reach the cost. We visit more than 400m long pier in bay of Ainaži. And in Afternoon we cycle along the Baltic sea cost to fisherman town Salacgrīva. Check-in cozy guest house Kapteņu osta

Day 8 (Riga)

Our day begins with cycling from Salacgrīva to Tūja approx. 35 km. We spend our day leisurely along the sandy beach of Riga bay. And we visit the rocky seashore of Vidzeme. In Afternoon a bus brings us back to Riga.

We are family of 7, consisting of 2 adults, 2 grown kids and 3 pets (2 cats and a dog). Over the recent years, tourism activities have become our main business focus. It is quite likely that you will meet at least one of us in person when visiting our office at Pils Street 14. Combined we speak 6 languages: Latvian, English, German, Russian, Norwegian, and Danish (plus meowing and barking). To us, our customers are a part of our family.
